Resource Consent Gained for New Hotel and Pub on Lake Terrace Taupo

Detailed budgets and time schedules have been prepared and construction documentation is about to commence.

Rotorua Citizens Club

A new improved image for the future and better facilities were major featurers of the clubs’ upgrade and extension brief.

The new entrance with card access and video door control is not only attractive but functional. Bar staff can control access when the office is vacant.

New facilities include new offices, storage, kitchen and restaurant, functions room with ultra level floor for indoor bowls and secondary bar area, next to a purpose designed darts area, new toilets with showers, and a sunny garden area that can one day accommodate a pool.

The clubs fortunes have lifted with the new image and facilities which are continuing to be upgraded as demand for growth and better facilities continues.

A major part of the design effort for this project was aimed at producing an attractive classical ‘urban’ club image that would attract business class membership. The old forbiding ‘shoe box’ appearance was replaced by elegant columns, bay windows and enhanced by decorative Maori carvings.

Murupara Citizens Club
APR architects and engineers undertook the upgrade and extension of the Murupara Citizens and RSA Club to add a new lounge bar, managers office, main entrance, stage, store and improved toilet facilities. The new bar is unofficially know as the ‘Coronation St. Bar’.

Using local builders and craftsmen this project was achieved on time and on budget.
