Deryck Shaw is the Director of APR Consultants Ltd and over the course of his career has acquired a wide range of experience in planning and research. Deryck's experience as a researcher has been backed by resource management, science, planning, economics and natural resources qualifications and experience. He was the principal of DJ Shaw Associates from 1983 until the formation of the APR consultancy in 1990.
Deryck holds professional memberships with the New Zealand Institute of Management, the Royal Society of New Zealand, the New Zealand Planning Institute, the Market Research Society of New Zealand, and the New Zealand Association of Economists and has also had extensive experience in a governance role in many local, regional and national bodies.

Paul Killerby is a strategic planning and research specialist with extensive experience in both private consultancy and the local government sector. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, policy analysis, facilitation, consultation, social research, economic research, community development, communication, statistical analysis and qualitative analysis.

Paul has been a member of the New Zealand Association of Economists since 1991 and the Australia-New Zealand Regional Science Association since 2001.
